Description
UpStream is all about making fashion circular. Instead of buying clothes, wearing them twice, and chucking them in a drawer, you subscribe to a plan, pick items from a curated feed, and get them delivered to your door. When you're done with something, you swap it for the next thing. The whole lifecycle is handled for you, delivery, collection, even the dry cleaning.
There's a credits system so you know how many swaps you've got, and you can earn extra ones by posting about the platform on TikTok or Instagram, which is a clever growth hack. The browsing experience is this slick vertical feed of clothes with filtering by brand, size, and type. There's real-time delivery tracking, stock alerts for stuff that's sold out, wishlisting, the works.
I also built out a full admin dashboard for the team to manage catalogue, stock, orders, delivery zones, and even coordinate with their dry cleaning partner.
What I did
- Worked directly with the founder to design and built the mobile app, backend, CI (the whole shebang) myself
- Created the full browsing, booking, and swap tracking experience
- Built the subscription and credits system with Stripe integration
- Integrated real-time delivery tracking with DPD and AfterShip
- Built the social media verification flow for earning free swaps
- Designed and developed the internal admin dashboard for catalogue, stock, and order management
- Worked across the full stack, frontend and backend
